Coming soon

I have a rose bush which is currently in bud.  Preparing to flower.  It is very windy where I live and I often wonder if my plants have to work that bit harder to exist here.  The picture is from last year.  I know I will be able to have another display of them when they do flower, because that’s what happens.  And I look forward to it.  I also look forward to my sweet peas getting their groove on.

I am no gardener, I really don’t have the patience.  But I do have so much patience when it comes to waiting on God.  It surprises even me.  And I think it’s because of the reward of that waiting.  Plants usually come up with the goods, but they can be prone to weevils and weather.  God always brings peace and adds something to the moment.  If I sit in a fury, He calms.  If I ask for guidance, He supplies it.  If I just don’t know which way to turn, a way opens up.  If I can’t express my gratitude enough, I feel superabundantly full.

There’s no delay with God.  The only delay is in my understanding.  But whenever that feeling of impatience creeps in, I remember these words from Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy (p 254:10-12):

‘When we wait patiently on God and seek Truth righteously, He directs our path.’

And He does.

Come rain or shine. Wind or doubt. Worry or fear.

Always and without fail.

Blessings to you for the month of May.
